Twin Lakes

Well, we are now making the final preparation for the trip to Twin Lakes in Idaho. We have quite a few people coming this year and it will be an unforgettable year..."wink.wink." Details are to follow later about the winkage. We have about 25 people this year which is huge. We have my parents, sister and her boyfriend, me and my husband, our friends Kenny, Gayle, Brieanna, Brad and there baby Xander, Cassie, Jenn and her boyfriend, Danny's parents, my aunts and uncles Pat, Donita, Garth and his girlfriend, Ron, Bryce, my cousins Ian and his girlfriend, Nick, and Grandma. Don't forget all the dogs as well. I am excited to finally get a break from the ever exhausting newspaper route and enjoy mother nature whether it decides to rain or not. Last night I spent the evening with the parents making home made spaghetti for the trip and doing more prepping of the boat and trailer helping my wonderful parents get everything ready. My parents are awesome at how well they make sure they have everything they need and making sure that we are all fully prepared. Bryan and I are cooking dinner Sunday night and we figured it would be easier to cook the sauce down here at home and cook the noodles up there instead of trying to cook it all at the same time. I have mastered my mother's recipe now and man is it ever so good. Don't even bother asking for the recipe because only my children will know it if they want it. Also Bryan and I had an interesting talk this morning on our route about what we wanted to name our children. Don't get hopes up yet though. That is many years down the road but I think the names we chose are great depending upon what we have and if we have any. Well we will post more photos and comments of our endeavors after our trip. We will see you all on Tuesday!

Too Good to be True!

Well bad news from the Austin home front. Bryan was unfortunately laid off this week. I guess the company that hired him could not afford to keep him. Well that is the way that the cookie crumbles. And we figure it is for the best. Bryan liked working the 4- 10 hour shifts but he did not like the commute nor the pay cut. Plus I think Bryan has realized his true calling to be a union man and to stay with commercial electrical with some handyman work on the side. He is applying to the union electricians and will hopefully find his calling in life with his next path. Onward we go into the dark abyss with eyes wide open and nothing to see but the light less nothing to lead our way. But at least now he can help more with the paper route and around the house. Everything happens for the right reasons. Well we continue to lookout for work. Any help is always appreciated.

Finally a yard starts to take place! :)

Well the destruction has officially begun. Last night our good friend Brad Ward came over and helped Bryan start the demolition of our yard to prepare it for some fresh new sod, flowers, and to start to look descent. Will post our photos once we have a finished product but man are the neighbors staring at our yard now. But Bryan and Brad did a great job and did what the do best, ANNIHILATE!!! I had a blast watched Brad and Brie's little angel Xander and had fun getting that kid to smile. I am really excited to get our yard looking good. The next step will be putting in the sprinklers and leveling the ground to prep for sod. WooHOo!

Mother's Day

Well we had a great couple days for mother's day. Saturday we went and visited Bryan's grandma Grace and took her some flowers. Bryan's mom Jolee was there as well and we gave the flowers we had ordered her as well. (Might I add I highly recommend Huddart Floral for any flower needs. They are great! Prices are wonderful, flowers are always beautiful, and they have up to date stuff!). We sat and chatted just playing ketchup with the moms.
Then on Sunday, we finally made our way back to church. With the ways things are we get up every Sunday and spend the morning throwing newspapers which just wears us out like no other and we kept sleeping through our alarms so finally we made it to church and even gave the opening and closing prayers. Then we met up with my fam and had a great afternoon hiking City Creek Canyon, picinicking, and playing with pooches. Daisy and Chewy did not make the trip unfortunately and we did not know they were invited but Max, Boston, Marley, and Ringo were all there. We saw so many dogs there as well. We saw all sorts too such as huskies, yorkies, mixes, german shepards, border collies, hounds, beagals, chiwawas (I know that is not spelled correctly as many of the words in my blogging. It is just how I say some words), westies, labs, retrievers, weener dogs, and believe or not even more kinds. Everyone that walked past had a different kind of dog. We then took a long nap until about 6:30pm and then met up at my parents where my sister and I (mostly me) made the family a nice steak dinner with salad, mushrooms, potato salad, rolls, and corn on the cob. It was yummy! All in all it was a great mother's day.
Now some may ask when will I be celebrating being a mommy. Well not for a few more years. Bryan's wants children now and there is no doubt that he would be a great dad. Bryan is so wonderful with children and children just seem to love him. I love watching him with kids it just tuggs at the heart strings. But right now we only have our starter home and need a little more financial stability first. Also we both want to finish school also. So maybe 5 more years and we will re-negotiate the terms of children. Just kidding. I want children also just I don't think I am ready to be a mommy right now. Well Happy Mother's day to all and we'll talk with you later.

A new job

HOORRAY!!! Bryan has finally found a job that is a little more permanate! It is not perfectly what was wanted but it is steady for at least 3 years and he will be able to continue to get his apprenticship hours. Bryan will be working at Hill Airforce Base working on redoing all the housing for the military personnel on base. It is residential instead of the commercial that he was doing so the pay is less but at least he has something to go off of and having a job is better than not having a job at all. CELEBRATE GOOD TIME COME ON!!!

Bedtime Stories

Well, just thought I would update on what we have been watching. Bryan and I redboxed this movie the other night and quite enjoyed it. Bedtime stories was funny and heart warming and we gave a movie that you should see at least once.
