This Last Weekend

Well since we have been throwing my sister's fiance's paper route for the past 6 days let me just tell you how hard the weekend was. Throwing over 600 papers in 2 and a half hours really kicks a person's butt! Bryan and I had a very tiring weekend throwing our masses of papers into the dark. So as a result we really did no work around house or anything. We still have the one side strip to finish in our yard with gravel and the dogs room to put pergo down. Also now our lovely heavy dog, Daisy has destroyed the stairs that lead to the backyard and now we have to replace those as well. Life is a real peach but don't worry the poop will fall out. Famous words from my padre. So we caught a matinee on Saturday and went and saw Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
It was a good one and I really enjoyed it and so did Bryan. It is good for kids with a little adult humor in there. The squirrel creature really plays a big role in this one and almost steals the show with his obsession with a new love another squirrel and his acorn. Great movie and I highly recommend it. It was so much fun just going on a little date with my hubby and acting like we were dating again like before we were married. It was nice to see a clean movie that we could both laugh at so it really is a good movie for all occasions.

Then later that night we went with our good friends Brad and Brieanna to see Transformers 2.
Transformers 2 was absolutely packed with action and it was constant. It was a great movie as well. I was really impressed with the plot being that it never lagged on what needed to be done. There was only a small love affair on the side and did not over power the movie nor detract from it. If you like constant action, good special effects, and good acting this is the one for you. We all enjoyed it and was glad we got the opportunity to see it.

We had a good lazy days but then once we got home from the movies it was time to leave to throw papers. So we went 18 hours without sleep and crashed when we got home. So all in all it was a good weekend except for those lovely paper routes. But hopefully Bryan will get a job soon and we can quit those or I can get the job I recently applied for at the Church office building just doing janitorial work. It would be nice. I would save on gas and mileage and most of all my sanity. I can handle janitorial much easier. So good luck wishes to both of us and we will continue to keep you all up to date. Later.

Quick update in photos

Just a quick update on what has been going on in our lives. We now have grass and flowers in our yard and not just dirt and PVC pipe. We have sprinklers, lanterns, and flowers planted around the tree in the front. Now all we have left on our yard is the side strip where all we need to do is rip out the old dead grass and fill with gravel and then we are done with our front yard. Now only to tackle the back yard. Bryan is hoping to get a job he heard about a few days ago. We are hoping he gets it but it would not be ideal in that it is up in Brigham City which is about 120 miles round trip from our house so he would have to stay up there to work He would get reimbursed but it would be a lonely time without Bryan by my side. We are currently watching two crazy doggies that are my sister's and her fiance's Ringo and Marley. They are some big dogs and we took them for a walk yesterday. Needless to say they walked us is more accurate. We are also throwing their route for the time being and let me tell you, over 600 papers in three hours is hard to do. Bryan and I have had fun lately taking walks at night and what not and we have finally managed to make it back to church. Mostly just wake more like it. We have volunteered at the new Oquirrah Mountain temple and are doing again on the 16th of this month. We will get to be ushers this time so I think it will be a very rewarding experience. Unfortunately Bryan's grand uncle passed away this week, Ferris. We did not get much of a chance to get to know him but he will be missed. Well that is pretty much everything going on in our lives right now and I finally printed all the photos from last year and just realized some of them are not on here and I think I need a little update. Here they are. Enjoy!
Bryan and I went downtown to Temple Square the weekend after Christmas in 2007 and tested out my camera that I had gotten. We had a blast just running around, goofing off, and testing out my new toy. I love my camera. It is definitely my baby and I have a wonderful husband that spoiled me and got it for me.

We finally found Bryan's camera and got to upload the photos on it. Believe it or not there were photos on there from our cruise/honeymoon. Ones of me actually which he took. Here are a few we found.

Yes that is right, we caught Santa Clause on his vacation in the Caribbean. Just kidding. We actually had the Association of Real Bearded Santas on our cruise line. Every corner you would turn you would see a Santa Clause. They dressed with red and white and wore all sorts of Santa vacation shirts and what not. These guys really get into it. It was awesome.

Here are some photos from my birthday dinner at McGrath's restaurant. Our food was wonderful except for Dad's because according to him "I am a salmon conesore and this salmon is terrible and it is more like Jordan River salmon." Padre is hilarious and this is quite often a memory that we continue to bring up at the table all the time.

I got the wonderful chance of a lifetime and got to go to the Rigby Temple erected just this last year with my cousin, aunt, and uncle. It was so beautiful inside and a wonderful place. This was right before my cousin, Jason left for his mission so it was something wonderful that I got to experience with him before he left for his two years. Man I miss him and I have missed my other cousin on his mission as well. He comes home in August and I am so excited to see him again. Richie we have been told looks like my twin and we have been close ever since we were little. I can't wait to see them both come home safely again.

We also took some updating photos of our little "kids" that take up most of our time. Daisy, Chewy, H-man, and Gretchen.

You maybe asking yourself what the hell is that in the picture above. That is Daisy laying against the shed in the sun. I could not resist taking this picture because see our destroyed yard... she did it all. She would destroy the grass by running on it with her massive paws, she had gotten a hold of the vacuum and used the attachment as a chew toy, ripped boards from the fence and chewed on them and managed to tear some of the garbage from the can and play with it in the yard. This picture says it all and doesn't she just look so innocent?

Chewy as a clean little man. Isn't he handsome?

We went camping in the high Uintas. The difference is you need a four wheel vehicle to get there and it is completely away from any civilization. You use tents not campers nor trailers and man it really is nature up there. Bryan and I sat for a good half hour listening to a moose calling in the distance at one point and every morning you could see new tracks through your camp site. It was the best.

Chewy as a rag mop. He camps best when he looks like this.

What a great Kodak moment. I love my little family.

Darcy and Danny kept arguing on where they wanted to hike so I thought I would snap a little lovely moment of silence they were taking.

A Quickie

Just an update on the Austin's at this time. We are just making it through with Bryan helping with the paper route in the morning and helping in the house while I work. It is a role revearsal. Absolutely fabulous. We are working hard on the yard. Last night we placed stone around the tree in the front yard and got everything we need other than sod and flowers. Woo hoo our yard will be normal soon. This last weekend we went to the open house for the new Oquirah Mountain temple in Daybreak. It was so beautiful inside and was a unique experience to get to see the inside of it before it is dedicated. I loved and the symbolism in the temple was amazing. I can't wait to go there for a session. Perhaps whenever we get around to it I will post more pictures of our little lives right now. Talk with you all later.

More Movies to Review

Wow we have been seeing a lot of movies recently. It is really crazy. So in the past week we watched 4 new movies. Well okay one of them we did not make it all the way through. The first one was 13 Hours in a Warehouse. Well we did not even make it an hour into the film. Worst film ever. The cover looked cool but when a movie starts out with a statistic of how many woman in the world have vibrators, that is a dead give away that it is not a good one. It was slow moving, acting sucked, the vulgarity was not funny, amusing nor even necessary and it was the worst plot story and characters ever! I am not recommending this movie even for a red box. Do not waste a dollar on this one. For some reason the effects and filming skills really reminded us both of a porno. Really bad.

Well since the last movie did not make it we ended up taking it back that night and exchanging it for another movie. We got Taken. Good movie. The plott is good, the acting is pretty good, you want to see the good guy succeed and you really see some of the lower aspects of traveling alone and how tourist countries can be just very dangerous. A man's daughter goes to Europe with a friend unaware that they were going to be alone. They meet what seems to be a harmless man at the airport and are later kidnapped as a result. They are kidnapped and forced into protestution and drug use. Also you really find yourself enthralled in the tactics that the father uses to find his daughter. Great movie. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a action film.

The next movie we went and saw with our friends. The Hangover. Flippin' hilarious. Great laugh and totally random moments. Neither Bryan nor myself have ever gotten drunk and had a hangover but you really go through what they are going through. It is about a group of guys that take their friend to Vegas for his bachelor party and find themselves drugged with Roofies the next morning. What one of them thought was ectasy was actually the date rape drug and gave each of them a dose. They wake up the next morning remembering nothing and missing the groom. They have 48 hours to find him and get him back for his wedding. So the plott is great in them trying to remember what they did and following whatever clues they can find. Funny, funny, and more funny moments. Loved it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little raunchy comedy with tons of twists.

The last but not least one that we watched this past week was Gran Torino. Another great movie with a classic Clint Eastwood that we both grew to love as the film went on. It was a great plot, great acting, and wonderful deep characters that you could find yourself relating to and feeling sympathy and love for. We both loved and it is a great movie that we recommend to anyone. It is about an old man who loses his wife and finds himself befriending his asian neighbors especially the young son and daughter that are finding themselves unwilling involved with an Asian gang. The gang is a fellow cousin that is obsessed with turning the young man bad in his ways and wants him to join his crew. The boy agrees at first and his innitiation is to steal a car, the beautiful Gran Torino his old neighbor (Clint Eastwood) owns. His nieghbor spoils his plan in stealing the car and makes the boy realize it is not what he wants. The gang members sour over his decision try to force him into the gang Clint Eastwood steps in to save the family. He finds himself trying harder and harder to make his old neighbor nicer and protecting this family. It is really good!

Well considering we watched four movies and liked 3 of the 4 then I think that we did pretty well on our watching of the movies this week. Until next time...

Recent movies seen

So we have seen a few more movies since our last movie post.

The most recent would have to be "Drag Me To Hell." We went and saw this one on our date night just last Saturday. Well the first 3/4 of the movie really good keeping you enthralled in the plot and jumping around each corner. Then we both thought it went a little korny and cliche like for the movie. Parts were great and some were not. One I would definately recommend to redbox but not pay the money to see in the movie theatres.

Next would have to be Australia. Woo hoo. Good movie just a little long. The plot is great and the actors and actresses involved are great. I loved it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good show to watch.

Next is the Uninvited. Good movie. Great twist at the end and man you don't see it coming at all. Loved it and highly recommend it.

Next is Up. We saw this movie with Danny, Darcy, Danny's brother Steve and his two kids, Cade and Chelsea. They are such cute kids and really made the night great. The movie was great. Starts out sad and throughout a little bit but was the cutest movie I have seen in a long time. One that will tug at your heart strings for sure.

Well this concludes our latest in movie watching.

Quick Update

Just a quick update on our lives real quick. Bryan is still seeking employment somewhere in the electrical field so it kind of sucks that no one is hiring at all right now. So we continue to take advantage of something that we pay into each check.
So Darcy Campbell will soon be Darcy Fisher now after our Twin Lakes visit. Danny took Darcy out on the family boat with some champagne and as the sun started to set he asked her to stand by him on the boat. He then asked her how much she loved him. Giving him a big hug she replied with "This much." He then took her hand in his and said "Well this is how much I love you." He got down on knee and asked "Darcy Sue Campbell, will you ma.." when he was answered with a happy yes from my sister. It was a perfect proposal. They came back into shore where the whole family and good friends waited anxiously. They were maybe twenty feet from the shore when Danny yelled to the people waiting on shore "SHE SAID YES!!" We all cheered and hooted for the newly engaged couple. The smile on their faces was priceless and Darcy I don't think could have glowed any more. Pictures are to follow of course but only if I ever get time to upload them all. Danny Fisher will soon be a part of the Campbell family. If only he knew what kind of family he was getting into. He fits our family perfectly not afraid to speak up and always laughing and making light of the situation. Great guy.. the best guy for my big sister. I could not be more thrilled for her right now and we are now planning the wedding of the century. The big day will be September 18th, 2009. September is a great month to get married being that is the month Bryan and I said our I do's just less than two years ago. They will be married at the memorial grove park and will be holding their reception at the memorial house there across the street from the park. Beautiful place and perfect for them. We have started all the big plans. Nichole Vans will be the photographer, Nathan Pickett is to be the vidoegrapher, yummy treats will be from La Croussiant caterering, the booze will be served by A Touch of Class, the cake will be from Granite Bakery, dj is still to be decided, flowers are from Posh Posy and invites from Ann Elizabeth. Man we still have so much to do though and then Darcy and Danny will fly out the next day to Barcelona, Spain where they will be on a 7 night cruise through Italy, France, and Spain. Man it will be awesome. Will keep you all up to date on the plans and how it all plays out. Pictures will follow soon of the engagment night. She also found her dress at Alta Moda Bridal and it is gorgeous absolutley breath taking and we can't wait to see her in it again.
On a sadder note though, Bryan's grandpa recently passed away. He was 82 years old and at home when it all happened. We will be attending the funeral services on Saturday, June 13th, 2009 in St. George, UT. May he rest in peace and he is now with our loving Heavenly Father and we will see him again someday.
I will post pictures soon for updates on everything.

Twin Lakes

Well, we are now making the final preparation for the trip to Twin Lakes in Idaho. We have quite a few people coming this year and it will be an unforgettable year..."wink.wink." Details are to follow later about the winkage. We have about 25 people this year which is huge. We have my parents, sister and her boyfriend, me and my husband, our friends Kenny, Gayle, Brieanna, Brad and there baby Xander, Cassie, Jenn and her boyfriend, Danny's parents, my aunts and uncles Pat, Donita, Garth and his girlfriend, Ron, Bryce, my cousins Ian and his girlfriend, Nick, and Grandma. Don't forget all the dogs as well. I am excited to finally get a break from the ever exhausting newspaper route and enjoy mother nature whether it decides to rain or not. Last night I spent the evening with the parents making home made spaghetti for the trip and doing more prepping of the boat and trailer helping my wonderful parents get everything ready. My parents are awesome at how well they make sure they have everything they need and making sure that we are all fully prepared. Bryan and I are cooking dinner Sunday night and we figured it would be easier to cook the sauce down here at home and cook the noodles up there instead of trying to cook it all at the same time. I have mastered my mother's recipe now and man is it ever so good. Don't even bother asking for the recipe because only my children will know it if they want it. Also Bryan and I had an interesting talk this morning on our route about what we wanted to name our children. Don't get hopes up yet though. That is many years down the road but I think the names we chose are great depending upon what we have and if we have any. Well we will post more photos and comments of our endeavors after our trip. We will see you all on Tuesday!
