We're Back

Hey to everyone. We have made it back alive from our wonderful cruise to the Carribean. We had such a wonderful time doing it all. We four wheeled our way along a beach in Costa Maya, Mexico and rode horses thru the jungle in Belize City, Belize. We saw the many cultures that exist in these countries including Sant Tomas De Castilla, Guatamala. We swam in an underground river and snorkeled in Playa De Carmen, Mexico. We saw sea turtles of all sizes and some were as big as a dining room table. We saw all sorts of fish, sharks, sting rays, cougars, monkeys, and even two manatees. Very shortly we will be posting our photos with more details of our trip.

Bryan is still in the market for a stable job. He is an electrician apprentice and with the economy the way that it is no one is building and since he just started no one wants to hire a second year and everyone only wants 3rd and 4th year electricians along with journeymans. Bryan is still attending school at the salt lake community college though and is wanting to continue on to become a master electrician.

Brittney is still waiting for that lovely nursing school opening that I have been on the waiting list now for a year. But I know that it will be soon and even perhaps next spring can I go to the salt lake community college. I am currently on the 2010 fall semester but I was told that they are moving quicker and quicker thru the list because so many who have been on the list have either given up or gone elsewhere for their education. I hope so greatly that I will start soon so that I may finish quicker and get into the field of nursing.

The Austin's have made a new addition to their family. We would like to welcome Gretchen, a
cute little black and white cat that needed a home so we decided to provide one for her. She is has a black body with white on her tummy and tips of her paws. She was shy at first but has found her place and her little voice with us. She enjoys lazying about the house under the bed or on it and has a purr that could be heard for miles.
Isn't She CUTE!!?!!
Well we will post more photos and more of a trip update in just a few days when the photos are all uploaded and I have the time to type out our lovely adventures! Love you all!

Christmas, New Years, and January

Well, alot has happened since our last blog.

Since I have not mentioned it yet just letting the reader know Bryan and I throw a paper route in north Salt Lake every morning. We throw Deseret News, Salt Lake Tribune, Wall Street Journals, and Financial Times to the nice homes just on the mountain. This is good and bad because yes it has help in funding Christmas and funding bills to pay things off early but at the same time it has hurt us physically. We are exhausted and don't get alot of sleep because we have to do this everyday but I have found that some of our best moments are in this route. We talk more and laugh and argue and have fun and pissed off all at the same time and it is good in that way.

Christmas was wonderful for both of us. We received wonderful gifts from our wonderful family and friends and are greatful for how greatly we are blessed. We continued with our usual family tradition on Christmas Eve having warm home made clam chowder before going down town for a lovely carriage ride around the down town area. We had a wonderful time taking in the Christmas spirit and looking at the beautiful temple and it's lights. We went home sleeping in my old bedroom. The only thing that made the Christmas spirit die just a little was the fact not only did I have to get up at 2:00 am for the paper route that Bryan and I throw but also the fact that while I threw the paper route I backed into another vehicle. Not the best Christmas story ever. But once I was home the day was wonderful. I went home and fell asleep for another few hours and woke up to my family singing happy birthday and bringing me breakfast in bed. We then opened our presents and got everything we asked for. A new phone for me and a Rock Band for Bryan. We spent the rest of the day enjoying family and received a bar-b-que grill as well for Bryan and myself. I can't wait to try it out and have family over for some good food and company. We ended the day with an excellent meal and a movie with my sister and her boyfriend, Danny. We went and saw Marley and Me. Great movie but the ending is a big tear jerker! I found that Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston made a good combination in this film.

New Years was great as well. We spent the evening playing games and watching movies at our great friends house Kenny and Gayle Murdock. The food was great, the company was even better and we both fell asleep an hour before midnight. It was wonderful!

January has been filled with anticipation and excitement and we JUST WANT LEAVEness! We are going on a cruise at the end of this month on a Exotic Western Carribean Cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines. We will be visiting Belize, Santos Thomas del Castillo, Cozumel, Costa Maya all wonderful ports with lots to do. Not to mention that we get to leave out of New Orleans. I must admit we are loooking forward to the food and going with family and friends but the biggest thing of all is we don't have to be up at 2 am the entire cruise. YEAH!!! WOO HOO !!! We will take many pictures and keep all up to date. I will try to post more of what is going on as things present themselves. God bless.
Blogging is something a little new to this brand new family so be patient as we learn. The latest is that it is Christmas in 2 days! My birthday as well (this is obviously Brittney if you have not guessed by now). I never actually thought I would make it to see the end of this year. It has been bumpy with a number of things whether it was finances, doggies, or my cat getting ran over by an SUV and actually living through the experience unharmed. I have had my share of scares, loves, and laughs throughout the year. Fond memories of this year will forever fill our minds being our first year of marriage. Getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple one year after our wedding and buying our first truck together. The many fights that filled the north Salt Lake mornings as papers are thrown throughout the air but the many laughs we enjoyed in being silly in our endeavors. The many wonderful conversations that we have had in expressing our opinions to one another and cheesy moments that continue to fill our relationship and keep our hearts young. We are both now one year wiser for the better and both have learned alot this year. I have learned not to try and wake up Bryan in the morning nicely but you have to shake him for a while to see any real signs of life but be careful in the shaking for the evil creature that dwells within will find itself upon the surface as a result. Bryan has learned not to leave his boxers in the sink and even a dandielion from the weed infested lawn will thrill his wife even more and just to see him. We have realized that we both greatly depend on one another and I can't wait to have another year of marriage and find myself learning all the little korks of that which we call our marriage and family.

So Happy Holidays to all we love, you are all so dear, and here's to another wonderful year surrounded with such wonderful friends, family, and a great husband!

Here is but a small montage our some (not even all of them) of our wonderful adventures this year.

Our Sealing Day!

Brittney with her escort Brieanna Ward, A Great Friend and Sister!

I have to say that if it were not for these two women sitting with me, you probably would see me on America's Most Wanted. My sister, Darcy on the left has helped me with alot of things this year and my mother, Cindy on the left has been my guard dog and has protected me in so many ways and has saved me from myself even. She is the most wonderful woman and I can only pray that I will be half the woman she is. I love her so much and with all my heart!

And here are some pictures of the love birds

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!**!!

Something New to Start Another New

I am new to the blogging or any of this so be kind to my writings until I am more used to this. This is something new. I also have a new job. My life is about to turn another page in its novel and I will soon find myself with a new place to call my workspace. I have recently accepted a position with RXAmerica leaving my current job of IHC Intermountain Homecare. It is about time though. I have been miserable there for too long. I think it is rather amusing to watch how favorites, politics, and dramatic situations can turn a person who adores their job to turn and want out more than anything. I am extremely excited though. I love the fact that I will be closer to home, getting off work sooner, getting paid better, and better benefits. I am a little sad to leave my pharmacists, Dave and John, but I am more excited to start something new with a new slate. I watched my parents house this last week and their four little dogs as well. I love them all but I have to admit I totally love and have missed my snuggle dog, Max aka Maximum Sweetheart. He loves to snuggle and I am a total snuggle person. Also Boston, the terror dog, he has a sweet side and can easily be a snuggle dog. I am missing both of them already. But I guess I have my own snuggle bug known as my husband. He loves to snuggle at night. I love sleeping next to him. He is so sweet because when he wakes up he will gently kiss my shoulder and the side of my neck slightly his way of saying love you, I have to get up now. I love being married and all the perks and non-perks that come with. Yes, I know I even love the non-perks. My husband, he is one of those ones. The ones that when you first meet them you think that you are out of their leagues and that you just blow off the fact that you are attracted to them because you never think anything would happen. When i first met my husband I could not believe that he spoke with me as much as he did. Of course there were alternative motives for him at first and I was in a relationship with someone else but some how the one place neither one of us was looking, we both found a new love. I love the whole thing and how we came to be together. I always think of how things may have been different whether it was that I ended up with someone else or if something would have been different in his past as well. The song the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts says it all. "God bless the broken road that led me straight to you."It took a broken heart on both of us to find a new love with a whole heart again.
